Laura Resetar

Laura G. Resetar graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in May of 2011 where she majored in English and minored in Writing. As a cadet she worked on her college newspaper, The Cadet, for four years as a staff writer, Senior Editor and Columnist. She was also the Editor-in-Chief of her college yearbook, The Bomb, as well as the female cadet chosen to represent VMI in their new Admissions film. In addition, Laura was an NCAA Division 1 athlete for the Virginia Military Institute’s Track & Field team, specializing in the javelin, weight, and hammer throw, as well as the only female on the Rat Disciplinary Committee.  Laura has interned previously for MPRI, an L-3 Communications company located in Alexandria,VA under the supervision of Rick Kiernan, Senior Vice President for Strategic Communications. Laura hopes to attend the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism to obtain her Master’s degree in Journalism.
